Who We Are

The sea with its powerful and mysterious nature, becomes for a fisherman warrior in a way of life, it is his new home and the place of inspiration, where he spiritually combines the endless horizon of possibilities with the moral thrust to his will to work with the movement of the waves, which together give him tenacity to achieve his own purposes.

PESDEL S.A was born from the vision of a man who was born by the sea and who grew up on it as a family, dedicating the best years of youth life; it is aboard a fishing boat that forged his firm conviction of being a sea wolf, given the certainty that it is possible to defeat the sea and obtain from it, sustenance and development of entire families of the crew members and those who support the operations.

The tenacity in his goal of living and strengthening business growth, led him to make a decision that was perhaps the most important of his life and that marked the route of his own entrepreneurship and destiny. The illusion of having your own fishing boat became a reality in 1978 when the Betty Elizabeth Fishing Boat arrived at the Port of Manta.

It is important to highlight this event for being the boat and the shipowner the pioneer of industrial tuna fishing as an independent entrepreneur and national capital. No less important is the fact of being an example and thus directing the growth and development of new local enterprises of the same nature.

In the following years with the progress and regulatory facilities of fishing gave way to the arrival of fishing boats: Betty C; Yelisava; Lizi; Martina C; Fortica; Milenka C.

A route of experiences in a rough sea hardened character and spirit, boosted the will with the certainty and security of having found its fishing north, arriving in safe port with the satisfaction of having fulfilled and achieved personal and family goals.
