PESDEL SA acts in accordance with national and international rules and resolutions for tuna fishing, highlighting that PESDEL SA is now part of the FIP TUNACONS Foundation for sustainable fishing.

  • They will count in the records of the Regional Fisheries Organizations.

  • They will have an IMO number.

  • They belong to a country that is a contracting party or cooperating party of the CIAT.

  • Fishing licenses will count.

  • They will respect the prohibitions imposed, as well as any obligation established by the coastal countries; they will respect the established conservation areas.

  • They use legal fishing methods covered by international and EU standards.

  • They will avoid illegal fishing and the marketing of these products. The company will avoid having boats on the official lists of illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing.

  • Strictly prohibit practices such as: the cutting of shark fins; discarding tuna; carrying out transshipments on the high seas.

  • Commit to the return of non-target or vulnerable live species to the sea with the application of regulations for the reduction of incidental capture.

  • Fishing boats must be included in the ISSF PVR Boat Registry and comply with all ISSF Conservation Measures in force

  • Fishing vessels with a regulatory crew imposed by the Maritime Authority.
